At check-in, you'll get a printed name tag for your child as well as a parent receipt with a matching, randomly generated, 4-digit code. You'll show this receipt to pick up your children at the end of service. If we need to contact you during the service, the code will appear in the sanctuary.
Our preschoolers and older children enjoy a time of worship, with songs related to the theme for the day.
The basis of our teaching time is the Gospel Project, a chronological look at the Bible that lasts for three years. You're kids will continue to learn new truths about God as they grow.
During small group time, older children have the chance to learn more about what was taught, share any questions they might have, and enjoy some quiet activities or crafts.
Susan was born and raised in Pennsylvania, but after marrying a Canadian almost 25 years ago, she now calls Canada “HOME”! She has come to love the cold Canadian winters and especially loves skating the Rideau Canal here in Ottawa. Over the past 20 years, she has supported her husband, Tim, in pastoral ministry, has taught in several Christian schools and led a large children’s ministry. She is excited to be at WestVillage using her gifts and still serving alongside her husband, Tim (the Executive Pastor). Susan and Tim are the parents of two great young adults, Josh and Emma. Susan enjoys walking, travelling and having coffee with Tim, but her favourite past time of all is knitting!
