WVC Kids
At WestVillage Kids, it is our joy to inform children about the great and gracious God of the universe so that they can be transformed by His power into ever-growing disciples of Christ.
OUR COMMITMENTS
Safety
Safety is our top priority for every child who attends our programs. All children's team members have completed reference checks, police checks, and attend annual training. Our program follows safety guidelines recommended by Plan to Protect ®, an industry leader in protecting the vulnerable.
Relationships
We elevate community by connecting every child to a caring leader and a consistent group of peers. This helps create an environment that will allow your family to develop deeper relationships with other families and team members.
Family
We strive to reactivate the family by partnering with parents in their children’s spiritual formation. With an integrated strategy, we align our leaders and parents to lead with the same goal in mind: Kids connecting, being challenged by the truth, celebrating personally knowing and following Jesus, and knowing that church is fun!
Christ
Crafting core truths of Christ into engaging, relevant, and memorable experiences is key in our children’s ministry. You can expect to see and hear us engaging the children in worship, stories, games, and laughter. Our desire is that when children leave WestVillage Kids they are asking their parents when they can come back.
Nursery
Our Little Arrows nursery is available every Sunday morning for children up to 24 months of age. Parents are welcome to drop their little ones off anytime after 9:45 am and pick them up once the service has ended. While in the nursery, children will receive a snack and be invited to enjoy a simple bible-based story or song led by volunteers. Parents are also welcome to stay with their children in the nursery.
Sunday School
Our Sunday School classes take place on Sunday mornings from September to June during the morning service, and are open to all children from age two to grade six. Children are encouraged to remain in the service for singing, prayer, and Scripture reading before heading to their classes. In their classes, kids will spend time learning from God's Word using Truth78 curriculum, memorizing Scripture, engaging in crafts and activities, and building friendships with peers and leaders. We offer the following four classes:
Explorers (2-3 years old)
Seekers (JK - SK)
Pilgrims (Grade 1-3)
Ambassadors (Grade 4-6)
Special Events
Throughout the year, we host special events designed to help children and families reach up together in worship of God, reach in together to build authentic community, and reach out together to serve our neighbors. To stay informed about these upcoming events, be sure to subscribe to our Kids Ministry emails.
